RFToy is an Arduino-compatible gadget for interfacing with radio frequency (RF) modules. It can be used as a standalone gadget, or in conjunction with OpenSprinkler (including DC / AC / Pi) to decode and simulate RF signals on RF remote power sockets. This allows OpenSprinkler to switch not only sprinkler valves, but general devices such as lights, heaters, fans etc.

Version 3.1 has built-in WiFi (based on ESP8266). It comes with one fully assembled RFToy, OLED display, buttons, 3D printed enclosure, a pair of 433Mhz transmitter-receiver and a pair of 315Mhz transmitter-receiver.

Description

This allows OpenSprinkler to switch not only sprinkler valves, but general devices such as lights, heaters, fans etc.

Version 3.1 has built-in WiFi (based on ESP8266). It comes with one fully assembled RFToy, OLED display, buttons, 3D printed enclosure, a pair of 433Mhz transmitter-receiver and a pair of 315Mhz transmitter-receiver.

  • Pin headers to fit 433MHz/315MHz RF transmitter, receiver.
  • One 128×64 OLED display, three tactile buttons.
  • Supports both WiFi mode and manual operation mode without WiFi.
  • Support raw signal sampling mode that outputs raw RF signal capturing and display in web browser.
  • IR transmitter and receiver connector (for future use with IR remotes)

  • One assembled and tested RFToy 3.1 circuit board inside 3D printed enclosure

  • Based on ATmega328, compatible with Arduino Pro/Pro Mini 3.3V 8MHz.
  • Pin headers to fit 433MHz/315MHz RF transmitter, receiver, and nRF24L01 transceiver.

  • Audio output for capturing raw signal using computer’s line-in port.
  • Extra IO pins for connecting external components and breadboard experiments.
